I’ve struggled with frustrating autoimmune issues since childhood. In my twenties, I started to experience fatigue to a point where it just seemed to consume every aspect of my life. I felt like I could fall asleep at any moment, even a hardwood floor would have sufficed if only I could close my eyes. It was overwhelming.
I had always heard that yoga was an excellent stress-relief tool, so I decided to take some classes. It didn’t really stick until I found Nicole Nichols (Narayani), a Yoga Teacher. That’s right, uppercase Y! Yoga philosophy, breathwork, moving with love and intention. Yoga! I began to live Yoga on and off the mat and eventually deepened my practice by completing my 200-hour Teacher Training.
We live in a society that places so much stress and pressure on us to do more, do better, be the best. I am a big believer in letting go of all those expectations and just enjoying the experience of living. My classes focus on finding peace within our own bodies and sending positive energy out to all of those around us. You are wonderful and amazing just as you are right now!
I completed my 200-Hour Teacher Training at Republic of Yoga in North Carolina with my Teacher Nicole Nichols.
I am currently working on my 300-Hour Advanced Teacher Training through Yoga Tree SF.
My style of teaching is Vinyasa, linking breath with movement. Using the breath as a point of meditation while moving through poses keeps our minds in the practice! It’s a wonderful way of letting go of the daily stresses that tend to pop in and out of our thoughts!
